When you realize the depth of your own sin and see the depth of God's love for you regardless, it can drop you to your face. It can make you say, "I know it seems at times like these all Your love means nothing to me... but please know that I do appreciate Your graciousness that You've shown me... more than I could ever show in a thousand years." The bridge of this song was inspired by the events of 9/11. It painted a vivid picture of deperation and resue, and a confident hope that I will be delivered in my times of pain.
