My pastor when I was a kid and my current pastor close their prayers with "in the matchless name of Jesus." The Great "I Am." King of Heaven, Son of God, Lion of the Tribe of 'Judah, Mighty God. This made me set out on a search for all of the names of Jesus to put to song.
After I had compiled all of them on a piece of paper I began to group a few of them together that particularly jumped off the page at me and tried to order them nicely for the verses.
I had already come up with the chorus... that usually happens first for me anyhow. But there it was a song that simply spoke the names of Jesus and tells Him a bit of what He's done.
Not like he doesn't know already, but it's got to be nice for Him to hear us say it.
