After a long and dry season in my life where I began to wonder if I was really meant to be a songwriter at heart, I prayed this prayer: "Give me words o speak, because I can't think of anything worth saying."
In that moment I realized that the songs I want to share with people are songs that come from my heart, not songs that people think "should" be in my heart. And at that moment I really did have nothing to say -- but out of this a chorus was born that this track previews.
Eventually there will probably be an entire song built around this chorus, but I wanted to share the thought with you now: "Give me words to speak, don't let my spirit sleep. But I know that I owe you my life. So give me words to speak. Don't let my spirit sleep."
